I got the shoes (delayed delivery; Amazon did not indicate why, and just by 2 days, tho I did need them yesterday), I wanted beige and they are (regardless that both the listing and the sticker on the shoe bag shows light gray as being the color). I got size 8 Medium (which I've been wearing for about 70 years); it's a bit snug getting on, but once on, they fit/feel fine without socks (if you have a very high instep, you might not get them on without cutting out the tiny elastic triangle), with just a bit of extra space at the toe, but touching the shoe sole to sole against my old beige canvas slip on, the new one is just a smidge longer (almost not worth mentioning, but I'm trying to be detailed here ;) which is fine at this point (depending on brand/price, finding size 8 canvas shoes are either too small or too big). I have had a terrible time trying to find this color and style without paying over $30. Now, if they will last me a big bunch of months like my old ones have, while I continue to look for others easier to slip on, I will really be happy. If they don't, I will be back with a revised review ;) (I'm not keen on the brand name being on a tag stitched on back of heel, but I'm looking into removing those as long as they are not glued on.) Blessings!Update: All I said still stands, it just turns out the highest point on my instep is a bit too high for the rim of the shoe at the 'V' If you don't have a high instep, these shoes should work for you. I almost just cut the elastic V off the shoe, but there was no guarantee that it would ease the pressure on that one tiny spot on the top of my instep. I am bummed, cuz these are just what I wanted. Blessings.
